The best indicator of a good outcome in counselling is the quality of rapport created between the client and the counsellor. This is why my moto is “Counselling with understanding, trust and acceptance”.

About Me:

How I can help

Relational and family issues: I can help you deal with relational and family issues both individually and through group gatherings. My approach is based on your values and is considered as client centred. This means that you are the leader setting the direction and the speed of work and progress.

Managing Diagnosis: I also help people wanting to manage diagnosis in an ongoing basis. I believe in neuroplasticity which means that we can change our brain and consequently our lives, the lives of those around us and those of our descendants.

Discover your Hidden Talents: For those people interested in discovering their hidden talents I can help facilitating conversations that explore what has always been there but not used or recognised; this is usually the starting point in this search. This is an intellectual approach. Other approaches that navigate the unconscious are available, like Sandplay which uses symbolism and Focussing using the body’s felt sense can also be of service in this endeavour.

Motivation: Another area of service is motivation or lack of. An exploration on what it is that motivates you, what are the values that are the basis for your beliefs? What conditions do you put on life, other people and on yourself? The answer to all these questions can help you become more conscious of your motivations and what it is that motivates you and the direction your life is taking.

I believe in neuroplasticity because it has been proven and because it gives me hope. Neuroplasticity is defined as the ability of the brain to form new connections in response to learning, experiences and injury. This puts us in the driver’s seat. For examples and life cases and research in this area please read “The Brain that Changes Itself” by Norman J. Doidge.

You are important, take care of yourself, of your questions, and of your interests in life. No one is expected to live life in isolation; when in need of help, reach out. Maybe a friend will do; maybe a professional is needed but nothing lasts forever. Take action now if this is what you want.

How we help:
Transpersonal Counselling

Transpersonal Counselling provides psychological support in a holistic way.

This way includes the body, mind and spirit and uses all types of therapies. TPC takes into consideration that individuals have their own paths in life, all being unique, at the same time that takes into consideration that we are all interconnected.

Focusing Oriented Dialogue

How we feel, both emotionally and physically can shine a light on difficulties, opinions and traumas.

Drawing attention to the body itself can illuminate how we feel about a given issue, or something we are unwilling to face. Through Focusing on our feelings and our body as a whole we can get back in touch with the felt sense. This sense represents memories and parts of us that have been traumatised, forgotten, suppressed and or neglected.

Empathic Listening

Empathic listening is to hear another person while holding them in high regard at the same time that we are non-judgemental (to them and us).

This stance provides a safe space to the other person so they can be themselves without the need to tailor themselves to you. This unconditional listening frees them to share and reflect openly on their experiences, thus gaining further self-insight.

Sandplay Therapy

Sandplay is a process by which the person, given a safe place, recreates scenarios (in the sand tray) where his/her imagination takes form.

This is done using miniature figures and the sand itself. This process allows for a fast access to parts of the mind that otherwise would remain hidden to the conscious and active in our day to day lives.

Sandplay was developed by Swiss Jungian Analyst Dora Kalff who can be watched working with children in YouTube.

Sandplay is for all ages, easy to engage with, uses the senses, allows for the imagination to unfold and shortens the counselling process; making it more efficient and less costly.
